The Curious Cactus sets sail for Scotland!

Lydia Kairl, the lovely illustrator and 2018 POSH December stallholder is behind The Curious Cactus. Currently in the throes of packing up her life here in Adelaide to move to bonnie Scotland we thought it about time we shared her answers to the two mandatory questions for all creatives; P: How long have you been doing what you're doing?  L: I have been painting and making since I was a child, but The Curious Cactus is officially about 3 years old.

P: What inspires you to create? L: I find making and painting therapeutic. It's good for my soul. I am an engineer by trade so I just need to use my creative side as much as I can to balance out all the report writing! I love puns and I love making people laugh! So creating funny cards or calendars or totes that make people stop and laugh is one of my big motivators! I just love it when someone stops to have a look at my market stall and starts laughing, I can't wait to find out what they have found funny!

The Curious Cactus may be relocating to Edinburgh but don't despair, once settled Lydia will still post her beautiful products to us all still in Australia! She also has loads of new ideas that she's been holding out on in the lead up to her move and can't wait to get the opportunity to sit down and bring all these new concepts to life ..watch this space!

Bon Voyage Lydia, POSH wishes you every success in this next adventure.
